COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

8 STEPS THROUGH OUR FIRST ORDER E-COURSES

Each course has 5 hours of psycho-education, plus 1 hour of Biblical theology validating the concepts, and a follow-up Q&A video to address ongoing questions that arise on the topics. The courses have corresponding online Process Groups opportunities that work in tandem with the topics. It is not a requirement to be in a group to enjoy the courses, nor is it required to have previously listened to the courses to register for a group. If a person commits to engage the courses one hour a week through each of the 8 courses, they will have accomplished 48+ hours of life-transformational content in a 12-month period. If that person also engages the Process Group’s experiences, they may be eligible for a certification as a Red Ink facilitator after both are completed. These 8 courses and Process Groups will give a person 96 hours of psycho-education and experiential processing.

Each course is organized around evidence-based psychotherapy theories like Family Systems Therapy (FST), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and addiction recovery models learned at the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals. Our lens for analysis also includes insights from modalities like Truth Therapy (TT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Polyvagal Theory practices, and more. Our growing resources from neuroscience give additional clarity that proves out insights for causes and effects. All of our content is filtered with a theological framework from ancient Christian orthodoxy, with Scripture being a final authority for health and behavior. (See our Statement of Faith here).

Your Story & Your Today:
How Your History Reveals the Origins of Anxiety and Identity Belief

At birth, our brain’s emotional core, the amygdala, is mostly developed. However, the language centers, episodic connection abilities, and rational filtering parts of the brain don’t develop till years later. The baby’s amygdala will process survival and belonging needs by absorbing Mom, Dad, and sibling’s emotional experiencing. These external emotion sources from or family of origin compel the baby’s brain to create adaptations for survival and belonging that are customized for each relationship. All of this happens within the first year of life. This builds the neuro-networks, relational connection styles, and personality expressions that will last for a lifetime, or until it is healthfully reprocessed. Much of our present-day motivations, reactivity, intolerances, and deep longings come from our subconscious anxiety management. Traumas, griefs, and losses continue to galvanize throughout the years creating emotional spinnings, rage, depression and escape from the underlying tormenting anxieties. We build our entire sense of Self, or emotional identity, with all our unique relational nuances and intolerances from our stories. It is YOUR story. Faith may be alive in your heart, but your family is alive in your nervous system. This course is where story work begins. This is where renewing the mind and transformation happens. Be prepared to have aha moments as you navigate through each video session.
