The profession itself requires being in the spotlight of public perception, upholding Christian value-performance and being an organizational powerhouse. Until someone is functioning as an a church staff, as good intentioned as they may be, they can never truly understand the complexities of your role, and how the romantic ideas are most often unfounded.
